You may remember the early days of playing BC, where it felt as though you were very quickly passing through the levels. As shown in the graph below, it doesn't take much XP to reach each level until you reach level 30, and then each level becomes significantly harder to reach. The XP required to only go from level 69 to level 70 (25.8k) is more than you needed from when you first began the game until you reached level 32 (24.9k)! (The table used to create this graph is shown at the bottom of this post for those who appreciate real numbers)

XP is earned in the game at a rate of 10 XP per energy used throughout the game. If you're still working on the story line quests, you'll receive additional XP each time you finish a goal. Daily goals are another way to quickly build up additional XP as you work through each goal task. Other ways to build up XP without using your regular energy are to play Arena matches (10XP), complete the first task of talking to someone in your daily goals (10XP & 25 stones) which doesn't require any energy use, playing PvP for 250 stones for a chance to win 400 stones and 20XP (but only if you win!), the daily boss that you can play in the map areas for a mystery egg (plus 5 energy at medium level, plus an extra 200 stones at hard level) will also give you 10XP every time you battle it.
XP boosters are available which increase this to 30 XP per energy for 30 minutes, and are handy to use anytime you'll be using a lot of saved energy within this short window of time. Note that XP boosters do not increase the XP earned by completing story line or quest goals! XP boosters can most easily be won by playing the raid halls in the different map areas each day, as a prize when your pet reaches 100% happiness (by your troop members petting it 100 times), or by purchasing one with PvP tokens at the trader during PvP events or occasionally the gold trader in troop hall may offer you one to buy with gold. Holiday Traders (Christmas, Valentines, Easter, etc) also sell XP boosters, although there is no guarantee they'll appear again each holiday.
The most common time players become interested in how much XP is required to reach particular levels is when they are trying to reach level 40 or level 50 so that they can start to trade ultras and epics respectively. The calculator below is progressively being expanded so that you can enter your game level and how much XP is required to reach the next level, and the calculator will show you how much XP and energy will be required for you to reach level 50 (and eventually level 40 too). Once you reach the highest game level, you will no longer receive any XP in game and XP boosters will have no effect. As such, it's best to use them up before you reach level 70!
For those interested in the XP required for each game level, a table appears below the calculator detailing the XP as accurately as Battle Camp Global members have been able to record it. Thank you all for your contributions in making this table possible! Where an entry has a "+", it's known that a little more energy is required beyond this. Where an entry has a "?", it has been approximated using the graph above to maintain the general trend. If anyone can confirm or improve of any values in the table, please let me know!
Note that ios users can only see the XP rounded down to the nearest 100 (0.1k), which introduces inaccuracies of up to 99XP per level. These potential inaccuracies are detailed in the calculator entries of "Maximum possible extra XP/energy needed".
How to use the Required XP/Energy Calculator:
1. Select the level you are aiming for. (Currently limited to Level 50 only)
2. Look in game to see what level you are currently at, and the amount of XP required to reach the next level (optional) by clicking on your level at the top of your game screen.
3. Enter these values as per the screenshot below.
4. The amount of XP and energy that you will require to reach level 50 will be shown in the bottom section of the calculator, along with a possible error range due to inaccuracies of the data collected. In case you are considering using an XP booster, the amount of energy you'll need while XP boosters are running is also shown.
